WestWind Wellness Clinic is transitioning to Valant EHR, a behavioral-health-specific platform. Your new patient portal is called MYIO, and it is designed to make connecting with your care team simpler and more secure than ever before.

Our previous system, AdvancedMD, was a general-purpose medical platform. It served us well in our early days, but as WestWind has grown to three locations with over eleven clinicians, we need tools designed specifically for behavioral health — for how we chart, how we schedule, and how we connect with the people we serve.

Valant EHR was built from the ground up for mental health and substance use practices. That means better tools for our clinicians, and a smoother, more intuitive experience for you.

MYIO is the patient-facing app built on the Valant platform. Think of it as your personal connection point with WestWind — a secure, mobile-friendly space where your care lives.

You will receive an invitation to create your MYIO account by email this summer. Setup takes just a few minutes, and our team is here to help if you have any trouble getting started.

What Stays the Same

Your Clinician You keep the same therapist. This transition does not affect your therapeutic relationship in any way.

Your Insurance & Billing Insurance acceptance and billing processes remain the same. No action is needed on your part.

Questions & Answers

Do I need to do anything right now?

No. You do not need to take any action at this time. Your appointments continue as normal, and your care is completely unaffected. When your MYIO account is ready, we will send you an invitation by email with simple setup instructions.

Will I lose my appointment history or clinical records?

No. Your records are being migrated to Valant as part of this transition. Clinical notes, treatment history, and intake documents will be preserved. If you have questions about specific documents, please contact us directly.

What happens to my current AdvancedMD portal login?

The AdvancedMD patient portal will be retired on June 30, 2025. After that date, it will no longer be accessible. If there are documents or records in your current portal that you want to save, we encourage you to download them before the June 30 deadline. Reach out to our office and we can assist you.

How do I set up my MYIO account?

Once your account is ready, you will receive an email invitation from MYIO. Click the link in the email, create a password, and follow the setup steps. The process takes about five minutes. If you do not receive an invitation or have trouble logging in, call or email our office and we will sort it out with you.

Is MYIO secure? Who can see my information?

Yes. MYIO is built on HIPAA-compliant infrastructure. Your health information is encrypted in transit and at rest. Only you and your authorized care team at WestWind can access your records. Valant is a healthcare-specific platform and is held to the same federal privacy standards as any other component of your care.

Will my insurance coverage change?

No. This is a back-end technology change. It has no effect on which insurance plans we accept, how your claims are submitted, or how you are billed. If you have questions about your specific coverage, please reach out to our billing team.

I am not very tech-savvy. Will I be able to use this?

Absolutely. MYIO was designed to be simple and accessible. If you need help, you can always call us and our front office team will walk you through it step by step. You can also continue scheduling and communicating by phone exactly as you do today — MYIO is a tool to make things easier, not a requirement to access care.
